The Rowan Owl sculpture, designed by Brian Hanlon, depicts a version of the Rowan University mascot, the Prof, as it lands on a fragmented tree branch. The 10′ bronze and granite sculpture watching over the football field is situated outside the Rowan University John Green Team House.

“I’m proud that this monumental artwork will be enjoyed by the campus communities and used as signature destinations for campus tours, pregame activities, and graduation day photos,” said Hanlon. “As a former student-athlete, I know the importance of creating that symbol of campus that alumni will display on office desks and bookshelves, whether it’s in the form of a picture or a miniature replica sculpture, ensuring that they never forget where they came from and who helped them along the way.”
